First post!

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Melissa. I am 37 years old and I will be having lap band surgery on April 10, 2012. Less than a month away!! I have enjoyed reading many lap banders' blogs, especially seeing the progress that they have made and I thought it would be cool to do the same. I am interested in sharing experiences and meeting friends. I hope to be an inspiration to others in the future. I was looking for a picture of myself for the intro and I found this one I took with Jared(from Subway) when the hospital I work at opened a Subway. The irony cracked me up tonight. Good night all!
